The Divers Villa is a newly refurbished English colonial house on the stunning rocky coastline of Christmas Island. It is located in the heart of the settlement on Christmas Island, in a peaceful environment. Several restaurants, shops and a supermarket are within walking distance. The Extra Divers dive base is only an 8-10 minutes walk along a coastal path. The villa is the perfect accommodation for a romantic weekend by the sea or as a holiday home for a group. Private, individual rooms in the villa can also be rented, sharing a common kitchen and dining area. For an additional 5th bedroom or larger groups, the Sea Spray Villa can be rented in conjunction with the Divers Villa.
The wooden house was built in the mid-1930s. At the back there is a service quarters (the Sea Spray Villa), which is connected by a covered walkway and can be rented in addition to the main villa. The villa is known on the island as Married Quarters 8 (MQ8) and is one of the last three prewar bungalows built by the Christmas Island Phosphate Company. The house was newly renovated in the summer of 2018 and decorated in a modern colonial style. Guests enjoy a wonderful sea view all year round.
A large front and back yard stretches around the villa, with outdoor facilities. Tropical gardens line the house and offer treats such as papaya, coconuts, lemon grass, mint, lime and bananas, depending on the season. Each room has access to the open plan living, dining and kitchen area. A large colonial-style dining table seats eight. In the middle of the large room there are two cozy sofas for sitting together after diving. The spacious kitchen is just off the large living room and is equipped with modern kitchen appliances and utensils, including a gas stove top, oven, hot water kettle, coffee maker, toaster, fridge and freezer, dishwasher and microwave. In addition to the common areas in the villa, there are also a variety of outdoor garden areas ideal for dining, sunbathing or bird watching.

Turn RIGHT out of Airport car-park.
Travel 850m, turn RIGHT onto Phosphate Hill Road.
Travel 1.4km, turn LEFT toward 'Townsite'
Travel 2.2 km to T intersection, turn RIGHT onto Murray Road.
Travel 3.2km to STOP sign at bottom of hill.
Go straight ahead to round-a-bout,
Go fully around round-a-bout to merge onto Gaze Road.
Travel approx 1.5km, turn LEFT into 'Rocky Point Crescent's 2ND ENTRANCE off Gaze road (One Way Street). Divers Villa is on the left hand side of the street, ocean facing.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation 30 days prior to booking will be charged at 75%. Cancellation 15 days prior to booking will be charged at 50%. If cancelled 7 days prior to commencement of booking no refund is given.
Please ensure you have adequate travel insurance to cover unexpected flight delays or cancellations for the Indian Ocean Territories.
•No refund will be given for events beyond our control such as non-arrival unused services unused nights or additional expenses incurred as a result of airline or weather disruption.
•Additional nights due to airline disruption will be charged.
•We strongly recommend that you have comprehensive travel insurance when travelling to Christmas Island and the Indian Ocean Territories to cover contingencies.
